Convergence Wireless has established a strategic partnership with Freescale Semiconductor (Freescale). Freescale funded the placement of Convergence Wireless' patented technology onto their flagship ColdFire processor (A RISC version of the famous Motorola 68000 Series processor).

Convergence Wireless enjoys the benefits of Freescale's ColdFire microprocessor line as well as a showcase deployment of Site Sense Lighting™ (SSL™) at Freescale’s headquarters in Austin Texas. The Site Sense Lighting™ (SSL™) deployment was a joint effort to bring to market a large scale Whole Building Control and Demand Response Solution. The project's scope encompassed all facets of commercialization required to reach mission critical energy intelligence status.

Convergence Wireless is working with Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) the Washington D.C. utility. PEPCO asked Convergence Wireless to "wirelessly tie" their outdoor street lights into their new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) supplied by Silver Spring Networks. (www.silverspringnet.com). Today, Convergence Wireless is working with Silver Spring Networks to develop and deliver the PEPCO solution.

Austin Energy has invited Convergence Wireless to participate in their Green Buildings Program (www.austinenergy.com) and the company has been chosen to participate in the ground breaking U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) $30 million Pecan Street Project. (www.pecanstreetproject.org)
